When are we open?

We are open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 2:00pm, we are closed Sundays & Bank Holidays.

You will then be directed to drive your vehicle onto the weighbridge where the weighbridge operator will proceed to weigh your vehicle, from there you will then be directed to the car drop off point, (if you haven’t done so already, now is time to take any personal belongings from the vehicle, tax/insurance discs, toll bridge tags, sunglasses, licence, glasses etc. ) now make your way back to the weighbridge office where you will be paid for your vehicle at today’s value per weight and given a receipt for the same.

Every evening we process all the vehicles deposited on the day, online with the Department of Transport in Shannon.

The Department of Transport will then issue you your Certificate of Disposal within 5-8 working days to the address on the log book (we cannot change this address, if the address is incorrect please notify the weighbridge clerk before you leave of your new address and we will forward you a copy of our cert by post or by email for your records).

A Certificate of Destruction Cannot Be Issued Before a Vehicle is Presented to Our Facility

To ensure the depollution of all end-of-life vehicles shall be in accordance with the Second Schedule of the Waste Management (End-of-Life Vehicles) Regulations, 2006 (as amended) and with Health & Safety Guidelines.

Once an End-of-Life Vehicle is presented to St. Margaret’s Recycling Ltd we guarantee that;

  1. It will not go back on the Road.
  2. It will be Certified as destroyed same day.
  3. It will be de-polluted, dismantled for crushing within 2-3 days maximum.
